the scanner didn't rape this as bad as i thought it would..... xD

buuut anyway, i drew my FMA-based character Dragon a proper picture since technically she is my oldest character and i totally forgot her.

now for some proper info about her.

Dragon was abandoned at an early age, and grew up in the streets. she was pretty much a filthy, squalid little hobo that stole food and clothes, and eventually she got pretty good at it. she lived that way for years, and didn't even have a real name. she couldn't remember the one her parents gave her.

at around 18 years old, she was abducted by scientists/alchemists, who figured that since she had no family to speak of, no one would miss her. she was then used in an experiment to see if you could seamlessly combine more than one animal at a time with a human using alchemy. the procedure was flawed, and she wound up with a tail and reptilian feet instead of a fully normal human appearance.

she was branded a "failure", and she spent the next few years in a small cage in a dark room with other people who had been attempts at the same experiment, and had also been stuck with inhuman appendages. (which is why she has a phobia of confined spaces and labs/doctor's offices) tired of being trapped like an animal, Dragon managed to break free of her cage and escape the lab, and now spends her time on the run, keeping out of the military's eye, determined not to be caught again. she breaks into abandoned buildings for shelter and uses her thievery skills to steal food from markets or unwary shoppers. she has to eat a lot to keep her high energy and strength up. (she's really 25 years old, but looks kinda younger.)

flaws in her DNA structure caused by the flawed combination with animal DNA causes her to mutate into a "berserk" form in times of extreme physical pain/anger. she grows a snout and her fangs elongate, and spines grow along her body. in this state, she becomes vicious and uncontrollable, not distinguishing friend from foe. she changes back if calmed or contained, and has little recollection of what happened.

since she can't remember her real name, she simply calls herself "Dragon".

personalitywise, Dragon is somewhat cold and distant. she has severe trust and paranoia issues, and chooses to be alone because she feels she can't trust anybody. she has no friends to speak of. she's very harsh, and doesn't take crap from anybody.

she's not "evil" though. actually, she'll help out if someone's in need. she also happens to have a soft spot for kids. like, if she had an apple she was gonna eat, but saw a starving kid, she'd give it to the kid instead.

....someone's gonna be mad when they see their groceries got jacked. xD

(this was done on watercolor paper for the background, btw. that's why it's all textured and whatnot. i kinda like the texture, though.)
